Oversees development and compliance for Arcan. Formerly managed a Metro Atlanta family office with multimillion-dollar investments.
Carrie O’Brien is a Partner at Arcan Capital and oversees all development activities and compliance associated with investment and property management activities for the firm.
Prior to joining Arcan, Mrs. O’Brien spent over a decade as the general manager of a family office in the Metro Atlanta area. During her time in management, she oversaw operations and was actively involved in the selection and management of multi-million dollar investments and development in real estate, businesses and financial markets.
Mrs. O’Brien received her Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate from Georgia State University.

Emily Patton is the Managing Director of Arcan Capital. Ms. Patton oversees the acquisitions, financial operations and accounting functions for Arcan Capital.
Ms. Patton has been responsible for the identification, acquisition, management and reporting of over 30 multifamily assets totaling nearly $300 million over the last decade. She is an expert in financial reporting and multiple property management software systems. Ms. Patton has underwritten and acquired over $500 million in multifamily assets in the Southeastern United States and is an integral part of Arcan's due diligence, acquisition and operational processes.
Ms. Patton received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Kennesaw State University's Coles College of Business. She is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Georgia.

Co-Founder of Arcan Capital. Oversees investment strategy, business development, and financial performance. Nearly $500M in acquisitions.
Steve O'Brien is the Co-Founder of Arcan Capital. Mr. O'Brien determines the investment strategy for the firm and oversees the financial performance and reporting for all investments. In addition, Mr. O'Brien spearheads the strategic direction and business development functions of the firm.
He is responsible for the identification, acquisition, management and reporting of multifamily assets for Arcan Capital. He has acquired nearly 50 assets totaling over $500 million, including the placement of over $300 million in debt financing from FMNA, FMAC, HUD, bank and insurance sources. Prior to Arcan, Mr. O'Brien was with CBRE. During his career in commercial real estate, he participated in the acquisition, financial structuring, underwriting, management and sale of several billion dollars’ worth of assets in all major product types including multifamily, office, retail, industrial and residential.
Mr. O'Brien received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University's Goizueta Business School with depths in Finance and Marketing. He is a licensed real estate Broker in GA, NC, SC and AL.

Oversees operations in Georgia and Alabama. Brings over 20 years of property management experience and expertise in team building, training, and property operations.
Arabela Lopez is a Regional Director for Arcan Capital. She oversees operations at multiple assets in Georgia and Alabama where she is in charge of performance and procedural compliance. Mrs. Lopez is a property management specialist in the fields of team building, training and property operations.
Prior to joining Arcan Capital, Mrs. Lopez began her career as a lease-up specialist in the metro Atlanta area where she assisted distressed properties increase traffic and occupancy. She worked her way up from leasing agent to manager over a period of years winning many awards while working for some of the region’s largest and most respected property management firms. Once joining Arcan, Mrs. Lopez excelled in reducing delinquency, driving increased rent and building stable teams.
Mrs. Lopez has over two decades of property management experience and received her Associates Degree in Psychology and Business Management from ELAC Technical College.

Oversees performance and asset management at Arcan Capital. Brings a decade of experience managing multi-billion-dollar portfolios, with expertise in acquisitions and underwriting. Former paratrooper in the U.S. Army.
Luke Mills is the Asset Director for Arcan Capital. Mr. Mills oversees all performance at Arcan Capital and supervises the Asset Management Department. He works directly with property management to deliver exceptional results at all Arcan properties while also building and adhering to strategic investment objectives.
Prior to joining Arcan, Mr. Mills spent a decade working for multiple Regional and National Investment Groups primarily in the Multifamily Industry. During this time, he has managed portfolios of over several billion dollars in assets, while also identifying, underwriting and leading the acquisition of over $300 million of Multifamily assets.
Mr. Mills received his Bachelor of Business Administration dual majoring in Finance and Management from Columbus State University's Turner College of Business. Prior to that, Mr. Mills spent 7 years in the U.S. Army serving as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, deploying three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Samantha Richardson is the Management Systems Director for Arcan Capital. She oversees operations at multiple assets in the Carolinas where she is in charge of performance and procedural compliance. Mrs. Richardson is a training specialist in the field of property operations, management software, and value-add conversions.
Mrs. Richardson began her career as a leasing agent at a Tax Credit property and was promoted to manager within 6 months. She soon advanced to overseeing multiple assets where she increased income and occupancy while improving tax credit compliance. She achieved 100% tax credit compliance multiple years over for each of her properties. At Arcan, she excelled as a property manager immediately and grew into an area and now a regional role.
Mrs. Richardson boasts more than a decade of experience in property management and has spent a majority of her management career with Arcan Capital.

Izabella Jones is the Experience Director for Arcan Capital. Ms. Jones focuses on ensuring tenants, team members, visitors and everyone that experiences the Arcan platform has the best experience possible. She oversees all tenant satisfaction, investor management and employee retention efforts by working directly with property staff, tenants, vendors and investors.
Prior to joining Arcan, Ms. Jones specialized in customer service and operations management. This included over a decade of service overseeing the front office operations of an Atlanta based hospitality group and nearly a decade in the airline industry. Overall, Ms. Jones brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience and expertise building positive corporate culture to Arcan Capital.
Ms. Jones attended Wichita State University and has an associate’s degree from Chattahoochee Technical College.

Mrs. Cheng leverages her extensive experience to bring a fresh approach to management strategy. Formerly a Director of Sales and CEO for national and regional breweries, Mrs. Cheng possesses a deep understanding of strategic business development and leadership. Her years of experience in both traditional and non-traditional industries shape her exceptional ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

Mr. Lorber is a Partner at Arcan Capital. Alongside Mr. and Mrs. O’Brien, he directs the strategic direction and business development functions of the the firm.
Prior to his work at Arcan, Mr. Lorber was the Founder, CFO and Executive Chairman of Orpheus Brewing Company. He has a proven track-record of start-up management and value creation for investors.
Before working in the start-up space, Mr. Lorber was a member of the senior management team at Bedrock Advisors, LLC, a New York-based family office with $1.1 billion AUM. At Bedrock, he co-managed two funds of funds with $100 million in assets.
Mr. Lorber received his Bachelor of Arts and his Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. His graduate work focused on international structured finance and the commercial mortgage-backed securities market. He has also completed coursework on real estate finance at New York University.

Ashley Boyd is an Ambassador for Arcan Capital. She oversees operations at multiple assets in Georgia where she is in charge of performance and procedural compliance. Mrs. Boyd is a training specialist in the field of renovations and property operations.
Mrs. Boyd boasts over a decade of property management experience. Prior to joining Arcan Capital, she began her career as an assistant property manager. Once joining Arcan, she quickly advanced to the role of property manager where she oversaw the full life cycle of a value-add property from acquisition through disposition. She has successfully overseen interior renovations and capital improvement projects while maintaining a high occupancy in all her assets.
Mrs. Boyd received her Associates Degree in Business Management from Southern Regional Technical College and holds certifications in Small Business Management and Human Resources.
